Rev. Grant currently serves as Rector of St. George’s Episcopal Church in Maplewood, New Jersey. The son of an ordained minister, he is passionate about being a tool for God’s justice in the world, and he possesses an urgent conviction for sharing the love of Christ with marginalized communities––especially LGBTQ+ groups. He’s also deeply committed to bringing people together to heal and reconcile the barriers created by racism and addressing the systemic repercussions of slavery. Before joining St. George’s, Rev. Grant served as Assistant Rector at St. Matthew’s in Sterling, Virginia, where he oversaw and innovated the Worship, Young Adult, and Outreach ministries. He attended Virginia Theological Seminary, where he graduated with his Masters in Divinity with a concentration in New Mission Practices in 2018. Before attending seminary, Rev. Grant attended Virginia Commonwealth University and graduated with two Bachelors of Arts degrees in History and Religious Studies, with concentrations in Judaic Studies and Gender, Sexuality, and Gender Studies, in 2014.

The RabbiRabbi Andrew WarmflashPronouns: He/Him
Ordained in 1980, Rabbi Warmflash was the founding rabbi of Congregation B’nai Tikvah in North Brunswick which he led for 17 years. Following that, he moved to Newton Mass where he was the Senior Rabbi of Temple Emanuel, a prominent congregation near Boston. That was followed by several years as the spiritual leader of the Fort Lee Jewish Center. Finally, for the last 13 years of his career, Rabbi Warmflash served the Hewlett-East Rockaway Centre where he continues in retirement as Rabbi Emeritus.
Rabbi Warmflash is a passionate teacher of Bible and Rabbinic literature who teaches students from around the country in his weekly classes over zoom. He lives in West Orange NJ with his wife Beth Heit. They are the proud parents of three children and five grandchildren. |
